9 years without a family?

Back when I first started talking about 9 years at sea, everyone started asking me how you could be without a home and family for so long. But I'm not crazy enough to leave everyone behind for 9 years. The shift method has always been close to me, and I know how to get back to work very actively so that I can rest peacefully later.

While working on the transition schedule, I thought that 3 weeks would be the maximum transition period. I multiplied this by 2 just in case and this is how my new work schedule came about:

6 working weeks on a yacht/4 weeks with loved ones.

Every 6 weeks I will take a break for 4 weeks, whether it's just a stop at a good place to relax and work on a yacht or a trip home for 4 weeks. These weeks I can take everyone to my place for a nice vacation in a beautiful place or fly by myself to see each other at home.

At the moment, I think this is the most appropriate schedule, and the entire schedule for the first year is based on this principle, 6 through 4. Perhaps, over time, I will realize that there is a need for adjustments and find a more comfortable schedule.
