Basic set of sails

The basic set of sails for each day should also be thought out as much as possible, given the limited space on board. You can use three reefs on the grotto so that only a small part of the grotto remains on the third reef. Given that XR 41 uses a square top grotto, even the third reef may have a lot of it, making it necessary to have a trysail (storm grotto). A staysail without a twist, with the ability to take the reef on it (as shown in the photo), allows you not to carry additional staysails with you for varying wind strengths, but to have only a storm staysail paired to the storm grotto. Few people in the ocean try to walk against the wind and wave, and almost the entire route is built on the wind, which implies several asymmetrics. One fairly dense A2, smaller in size than a racing one, will always be stored in a vacuum bag and lie on board as a spare for a rainy day. In normal cruise mode, you want to have a moderately large sail while spinning, but my experience with spins shows that it's not that simple. This choice can only be made after the first tests. I'm not going to take even more cruise asymmetrics right away, as they themselves are quickly formed from old racing ones.

In total, we get that only the basic set consists of 6-7 sails. Of these, only the grotto always lives on a geek, and the rest travels inside the yacht. It turns out that there is simply no room for a racing kit, and there is no other option but to send it to the next race location. If I can negotiate with North Sails and use their local workshops as a place to receive and store sails, it will be a big success.
