When planning a racing trip around the world, you're faced with the challenge of transporting a full wardrobe of sails. Of course, it is possible to cross the ocean and sail every day on the same sails that you plan to race on, but they will wear out very quickly and become completely unsuitable for racing. Thus, a basic sail set and a racing kit that travels with you appear on board. If you've ever raced on a fully armed yacht, you've probably noticed that even the most empty yacht has sails all the space. I have a pretty good idea of how to place everything on the yacht and leave room for the crew to live, but I would like to optimize this already at the planning stage. For example, I'm considering shipping racing sails in tubes and storing them at the next race location. This would be ideal if you have a minimum set of sails on board, and your main weapons are washed, dried and packed after each race, then sent by a delivery service to a new location waiting for you to arrive. I am striving for this option and am going to calculate the dimensions, as well as make inquiries to several companies to understand the approximate budget for such transportation.
