I've been thinking about traveling around the world for a long time, and I think about it more often when I'm ashore and less when I'm at sea. Why is this so? When I'm on shore, I want to go to sea, but I don't want to go on autopilot for days and watch open water for hours waiting for shore.

But as soon as I start thinking about racing, I'm always ready to sit at the helm for days and watch the water, think about the wind, about the yacht, about setting the sail and tactical decisions. As you've probably guessed, I'm taking you to race around the world, but that's not really true. I was so well developed in the sail that I've always wanted to control an extremely high-precision instrument. When every inch of the sheet affects your speed, when all the settings are visible and you can change the shape of the wing and keep notes in search of perfection. This does not mean that I can set up any instrument and it will sound after that, it means that I am interested in it and this is what I am striving for.

I want to spend hours, days, weeks at sea and dock with new knowledge and understanding of how to live and be in balance with my yacht. I want emotions at the helm and queue for watch, for three hours of happiness. I want to live every hour of my trip around the world in harmony with the yacht, at its maximum capabilities, combining optimal speeds and crew comfort.

I want to be able to move at all times, under any wind conditions, and enjoy it, whether it's fine-tuning or setting the trisel. And I want to make sure we can do anything together. That's why I choose X-Yachts and that's why I choose XR 41.
