At the moment, the yacht is just under construction, and the beginning will be devoted to choosing the brand and the specific XR 41 model. Here I'll start with a romantic story about how I first fell in love with X-Yachts.

Back in 2011, I returned from an unfinished trip around the world to Marmaris. At the time, I was 26 years old and worked as a hired skipper for Shipman 50. I took our yacht to Marmaris for sale and the owner was already in the process of buying Shipman 63. On the other hand, I should have stayed in Marmaris and start my family life on my Hanse 400, which was bought with a perpetual friendly loan on trust.

Even though I had a brand new Hanse 400, I hadn't had any vivid feelings for it yet, as it was very different from my usual carbon Shipman 50. While walking along the pontoon in 2012 with my mentor, I asked, “What kind of yacht is this next to your M.A.T. 12?” He said that this is a demonstration yacht that he will definitely show me, but a little later, he doesn't have time now, but if I want, I can watch it myself. It was a completely new XP 44, the newest Performance model in the X line. I walked around the yacht and considered its solutions, such as rigging all under deck and under the cabin, slightly raising the deck aft in the cockpit for the helmsman, deep shoulder straps for the geek, and a portable cockpit table that neatly retracted below deck. I don't remember all the details, but I was very impressed. Of course, I had the nerve to enter the cockpit from the side next door, because it was a demo yacht, I thought it was also designed for demonstration. I looked at every detail and decided to take a look at the salon. The cabin was completely empty, as it should be for a demo boat, so I sat down at the navigator's table and immediately felt that this was my new yacht. How so, I asked myself. My yacht is next door and I haven't even started paying off my loan for it. How could I even think about a new yacht, but the emotion grew stronger and I couldn't help feeling it. It seems that I lost time and found myself in another reality, it was so long ago, but I remember this day as if it were yesterday. I didn't even study everything inside, I just sat there going through my feelings, enjoying the moment and looking forward to the distant future. From that moment on, I realized that my new yacht was just a stage on the way to my next new yacht, which would involve more than that. And today I'm just not ready for this yet; all in good time. And this is yachting time.
